Tamiya Spitfire Mk1 1:48 Part 3 Wings, Wheel Bays, Photo Etch Cooling
#tamiya #scalemodel #plasticmodel #spitfire To start, the exhausts are assembled, parts of the fuselage are put on. The landing gear and wheel bays are painted and assembled. I use my Badger Airbrush Patriot 105 and Tamiya acrylic paints. The internal coolers receive Photo Etch parts. All of this is assembled and attached to the wings. The wings are then glued onto the fuselage.

    I was suspicious when I saw the first wing. THEN he said "I don't follow these instructions", I realized why the first wing looked the way it did, and stopped watching. I wanted to learn how to do it right, NOT to learn how to half-ass it for half-assed results.

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder Месяц назад

      The reason the first wing looked not as good was because I followed the instructions. That glue is designed to foil letters that occupy small areas. It isn't designed to occupy model airplanes in large sheets. You can follow the instructions. You'll get the exact results of the first wing.

    • @PlasticModelBuilder
      @PlasticModelBuilder 3 месяца назад

      People often starting out use testors tube glue. However, thin cement is a liquid type in a square jar. It bonds quickly and is less messy than tube glue. You can use spray paint on this model if you choose. Make sure parts are clean for best adhesion. Use masking tape to to spray different colors. If you don't want a color to hit another color, mask it. Don't cut corners. This kit doesn't have to many decals. You should ideally use a gloss coat before decals. It gets less silvering. Join model groups on facebook. Mediocre model builders is a great one.
